I always used a plateau and trowels. I used that brand new kit. And a Banjo. Best tools I bought in last 2 decades. Amazing quality, specially at that price point. I couldn't find anything better anywhere in Canada.

Replacement wing nut works perfectly! Can strip easily so great to have a source to replace them.
Excitedly open my package of two Venetian plaster trowels. Only to see they look like an amateur welder ground them down with their eyes closed. The centers of both trowels have been ground down to the roughest finish ever. The edges are also Terrible.
