Cleaning your tools is a necessary task at the end of each day, as leaving your tools soiled with remnants of compound drying jeopardizes it's functionality and lifespan. Dried mud inside the tubes or within the filler valves or heads can ruin the interior mechanics, including springs, hinges, wheels, threading etc from functioning properly. Once it's dry, it is much more difficult or sometimes even impossible to clean unless you take the entire machine apart.
